It didnt look like a dollar had been spent on maintenance for 20 years!Walls looked filthy. Carpet spotted. Hallways between lift and room dirty. Bedding and bathroom clean enough, fortunately! Cereal scraps still in a bowl from a previous guest. An article of clothing left in the dryer. This was a very disappointing stay. I have travelled in many countries of the world on both business and pleasure. This rates as one of the poorest experiences in a hotel, and the poorest in any of our family holidays
Location location location and spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenagers
It's a bit run down
Great size rooms, clean and locaion fantastic
The location for us was perfect, as we were attending a conference at the Entertainment Centre. China Town was so close, and excellent for quick meals, and Paddy's was also nearby, so shopping was very easy and accessible. The Cole's supermarket a street away was also an excellent facility. We loved the security of Waldorf, and having free carparking really made it extremely affordable.
The kitchen and bathroom could probably do with a little updating, but this isn't a complaint, because both were clean, which is the main thing for us. The bed was a little hard.
Very clean and comfortable self contained units. All that you would need for a night or a week. Units at the rear of the building are quieter, however I do like the front to see and hear the hustle and bustle. Separate shower and a bath. Washer & dryer in bathroom, dishwasher in kitchen. Comfy lounge area with TV, small dining table and desk. Parking included in price - park the car and walk everywhere. Location is excellent for city shopping, Chinatown, markets and Darling Harbour. Catch the free city loop bus if walking isn't your style or close to train stations and on the monorail route. We've returned many times and have no complaints whatsoever. Excellent value for money - almost like a little secret that we would like to keep to ourselves. Pleasant and courteous staff top it off. We will definitely return again and again.
Hotel position (right in the City Centre). The apartments are large and confortable.
The forniture is old
it was a great set up for families, plenty of room and kitchen facilities made it perfect for those with small children.
room was a little dated
Its location. So close to the City.
The two-way light switching for the bathroom I was staying in didn't appear to be working properly, but that wasn't a major issue to overcome.
very convenient location to city and darling harbour.
the floors were black and sticky. I had to wash my kids feet before leaving the apartment in the mornings as they would be black. the lino floor stuck to your feet.
We were visiting the Art Gallery for an exhibition and it was only a 20 minute walk to get there via Hyde Park - very pretty. After walking back, we saw several places we could eat and chose one nearby. Then we walked one minute to a hotel to buy a bottle of wine to take back to our apartment. All very easy in such a busy city. Another plus was the roof top pool and spa - we used it both days we were staying in Sydney as it was a delightful way to cool down after the heat of the day.
It is looking a bit tired looking - old carpet and fittings etc. It could do with an overhaul - new shower screeen for example in the room we were in.
the friendliness of the managers and location: walking distance to china town, darling harbour, Paddy's markets and the city. Surrounded by some great spanish restaurants, there is even free parking but not that you need it as the free 555 bus runs from just around the corner in George st, Town Hall station is only 5 minute walk and the monorail runs straight past. The kitchen is well equiped and there is a supermarket/bottleshop just a 2 minute walk away.
The hotel is older style, but still comfortable. Can be noisy on a Saturday night, but that is city traffic
Location to city
Very shabby apartments, need renovating
staff were very helpful. close to china town so lots of restaurants nearby.
facility were old. a bit noise during night as in city centre. difficult to park.
Wonderful! Marvelous! I could just rave on. Bob and Ann (mgrs) were so, so helpful and friendly. My friends and I would definitely stay there again when we next go to Sydney. The location is so central to everything! 5 days and 4 nights is just not enough time to take in all that Sydney have to offer!
Bob at the front desk was wonderful. He was so personable and knowledgeable. The location was great. I'd recommend it if the room hadn't smelled. It seemed as though there was a room deoderant that covered up another smell. Great deck. Loved having a bath tub and washer and dryer
The room smelled and was a bit run down, but we opened the doors all day and it was better. By opening the doors it removed the smell pretty well.
